Starting at just 6 years old, Yvonne began rescuing strays, and her passion only grew. Before joining us, she volunteered as a Foster Home Screener/Coordinator and Adoption Counsellor at Toronto Cat Rescue.

As a veterinary technician, Yvonne’s passions include client education, as well as utilizing her medical knowledge and expertise in technical skills like phlebotomy, venipuncture, radiography and medication administration to ensure your pet receives exceptional care. You will likely encounter her caring after your beloved pets during veterinarian consultations and technician appointments. She enjoys leading the team as a Floor Manager, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly to create a positive experience for you and your pet.

Yvonne is Fear Free certified, demonstrating her dedication to minimizing fear, anxiety, and stress for your furry companions. This certification ensures that her approach results in happier patients, more compliant clients, and a safer environment for the hospital team. Additionally, she is RECOVER CPR certified, equipped with the expertise to deliver optimal care and improve survival chances for patients during emergencies. With an Honours Bachelor’s degree from York University, Yvonne combines academic excellence with professional expertise.

When she’s not at work, she’s at home with her four Jack Russell Terrier-mix fur babies: Koda, Trevor, Nyla, and Pongo.
